Frequently asked questions
When does e-invoicing become mandatory in the UAE?
From 1 January 2027 for businesses with revenue of AED 50 million or more, 1 July 2027 for businesses below that, and 1 October 2027 for government entities.
What is an Accredited Service Provider (ASP)?
A provider accredited by the Ministry of Finance to validate, exchange and report e-invoices between businesses and the FTA.
Does it apply to B2C sales?
The current phases cover B2B and B2G transactions. B2C is not part of the current mandate.
Do I have to change my accounting software?
Not necessarily. If your current ERP can produce the required data, it can be integrated with an ASP. If it can't, moving to Tally or Zoho is often faster and cheaper.
